1. Data Controller

The App and this website are operated by Ertunç İlbeyli, an individual developer. As data controller, we are responsible for the lawful processing of your personal data.

2. Personal Data We Collect

To use the App we collect the following categories of personal data:

• Identity and contact data: first name, last name, email address
• Account data: user role (teacher/student), optional profile picture, password (stored only in hashed form by Firebase Authentication)
• Educational content data: teacher–student matches, assignments given and completed, exercise results (correct/incorrect, duration, score)
• In-app communication data: messages between teachers and students
• Purchase data: verification information for premium subscriptions made via the Apple App Store and Google Play (we never receive your card or bank details — payments are handled by Apple/Google)
• Technical data: device type, OS version, app version, crash logs, IP address, push notification token

3. Purposes of Processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

• Creating your account, authenticating you, and managing sessions
• Establishing and managing teacher–student matches
• Giving assignments, tracking them, and providing feedback
• Providing the premium subscription service and verifying subscription state
• Identifying and fixing technical errors in the App
• Producing anonymous/aggregate statistics to improve service quality
• Complying with legal obligations

4. Legal Basis

Your data is processed under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") on the basis of contract performance, legal obligation, legitimate interest, and — where required — your explicit consent.

5. Where Data Is Stored and International Transfer

Your data is stored on the Firebase / Google Cloud infrastructure operated by Google Ireland Ltd. Firebase may process data in different data centers worldwide, primarily in the United States. By using the App you give your explicit consent to this international transfer.

Payments are processed by Apple Inc. (App Store) and Google LLC (Google Play); their own privacy policies apply.

6. Third-Party Providers

The App uses the following third-party providers to deliver the service:

• Firebase Authentication — identity and authentication
• Cloud Firestore — data storage
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications
• Apple App Store / Google Play — distribution and payments

7. Data Sharing

A student's assignment results, performance, and in-app messages are shared only with the teacher(s) they are linked to. We do not sell your identity data to third parties, advertisers, or analytics companies.

Data may be shared with legal authorities to the extent required by applicable law.

8. Retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account or request deletion, your account data is deleted or anonymized within the maximum period permitted by law. Statutory retention periods are reserved.

9. Children's Privacy

The App may offer content suitable for children under 13; however, accounts for users under 13 require parental/guardian consent. Parents/guardians can request information about their child's account or request deletion via iletisim@muzikdersim.com.

10. Your Rights (KVKK Article 11)

Under KVKK you have the right to: learn whether your data is processed; request information about processing; learn the purpose of processing and whether it matches that purpose; learn the third parties (in Turkey or abroad) to whom data is transferred; request correction of incomplete or incorrect data; request deletion or destruction; object to automated decisions that produce adverse outcomes; and claim compensation if you suffer damages due to unlawful processing. 11. Security

We apply technical measures such as Firebase security rules, HTTPS/TLS encryption, and password hashing to protect your data from unauthorized access. No system can guarantee 100% security of data transmitted over the internet.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You will be notified of material changes in-app or by email. The last updated date is shown at the top of this page.
